뇌란 무엇인가?

인간의 뇌는 무게 1300 g 전후의 장기이며 대뇌와 소뇌로 구별할 수 있다. 대뇌는 좌우 1 쌍의 대뇌반구 (좌뇌 와 우뇌) , 대뇌변연계와 대뇌 기저핵, 또한 척수와 연락하는 뇌간 부분으로 구분된다. 뇌간이란 간뇌. 중뇌. 뇌교. 연수를 총칭한 것이다. 소뇌는 뇌 전체의 약 10 % 로 주요한 작용은 운동조절이고 지적 기능의 작용에는 직접 관계하지 하지 않는다.

폴 D. 마크린의 3층 뇌 모델 : 폴 D. 마크린이라는 대뇌생리학자 ..... 그는 '인간의 뇌는 신의 실패작이다.'라고 말했습니다. 인간의 뇌가 인간다운 것은 대뇌신피질이 발달한 결과인데 인간의 뇌에는 파충류의 뇌와 하등 포유류의 뇌가 공존하고 있기 때문이라는 것입니다. 그는 계속해서 이렇게 말합니다. '그래서 인간은 이성과 본능의 상극 때문에 괴로워 한다.' 다음 그림이 마크린의 3층 뇌 모델이라고 불리는 것으로 그는 인간의 뇌를 다음과 같이 분류합니다.

1. 파충류의 뇌
수면, 먹는 것, 성(性) 등의 기본적인 생명활동을 담당한다. 일명 '악어뇌'라고도 한다.
2. 고대 포유류의 뇌
(주로 외적으로부터 몸을 지키기 위해서) 시각, 청각, 취각에 의해서 받아들인 정보를 처리한다. 일명 '말 뇌'라고도 한다.
3. 신 포유류 뇌
이성, 지성, 논리적인 사고를 담당한다. 일명 '사람 뇌'라고도 한다.
