DXPLAIN assists a physician in diagnosing a patient's illness, It uses information based on the patient's symptoms, physical exam, and laboratory tests results. It uses about 4,700 descriptors to score the possibility of one or more diseases using knowledge on about 2,000 potential diseases. It presents a list of suspected diseases, rank ordered according to its suspicion. The system was developed at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. (DXPLAN Àº disease explain ÀÇ ¾àÀÚ Àεí.)
